The Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru is currently grieving over the death of his son, Mohammed Kawu Baru which has left his parents in deep mourning because he was said to be a lively and lovable young man.
Pulse news reports that, the 18-year-old son of the NNPC boss collapsed and died while participating in his institution’s hiking exercise in Fujairah, United Arab Emirate.
Mohammed, an Architecture student at the American University, Sharjah, United Arab Emirate, was in his first year in the institution when he died on Thursday, May 18, 2017.
The death of the teenager has since left his parents in deep mourning because he was said to be a lively and lovable young man.
Mohammed has since been buried at the Sharjah Emirates Cemetery with his father, Maikanti Baru, Nigerian Ambassador to UAE, Nura Rimi and hundreds of members of the Nigerian community in UAE, in attendance
