Farewell to a musical genius-OJB Jezrel

Nigeria responded with deep emotions  when OJB Jezreel was raising funds to attend to his health issue in 2013 when he had his Kidney ailment.

Most Nigeria artistes helped monetarily and even advertises his fund raising campaign while others supported with their prayers as he flew to India for a kidney transplant.

After then, he had be going through health challenges although he denied having any last year and finally gave up the ghost on Tuesday in Lagos State General Hospital, Igolo.

Until his death Babatunde Okungbona popularly known as OJB Jezreel was a Musician and Music producer especially with Kennis where he was able to work with the likes of Faze, 2Face, Harmony, Black Face, Jafaar and the list keeps going on.

OJB Jezreel started music publicly in 1986 right in Surulere where he could afford inspired by his role model – Quincy Jones. His music was not successful until he dropped his major hit track ,  “Jah Is My Light”. He is soft spoken and many would doubt the fact that he had 3 wives but he actually has 3 wives and 8 children. He was also at a point accused of taking hard drugs.

His remains has been deposited in the same Hospital where he died at 50 after being  under life Support systems for 2 weeks. OJB Jezreel is mourned by the Nigerian Music industry and all Music lover around the globe.
