LASTMA to start arresting traffic offenders at their homes


Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has recently revealed a new system of booking traffic offenders rather than impounding their vehicles. 

The new system was allegedly initiated last Friday Sept. 18th, and will have LASTMA copying the Western way of issuing tickets to defaulters and allowing them to go with their vehicles but the defaulters will be required to pay a fine for the offense within a stipulated time which will be printed on the ticket issued. 

Failure to pay up will amount to arrest of such defaulter at their homes. The traffic law enforcecers did not however disclose how they will determine a defaulters true address.
