Jessica Alba is now recently richer than Beyoncé. The Honest Company is apparently doing better than ever, and as you can guess that is good news for Alba’s 20 percent stake. The actress is now valued at over $1.7 billion, placing Jessica comfortably on Forbes’ list of the richest self-made women in the United States, reports the Huffington Post.
The American model and business woman founded the company in 2011 and originally started using eco-friendly products to produce baby-related products, such as diapers and wwipes. The Honest Company grew rapidly to include a range of household products due to this ingenuity, the company states it’s mission is to “relieve you of a few tasks by delivering the best family essentials to your doorstep – to simplify your life and bring more delight to every day. Our dream is to re-define the ‘family brand’ and create something – with you – that’s better for all families, everywhere.” Customers can have the products delivered to their doorsteps.
According to Business Wire, the outlook of Jessica Alba’s company looks even brighter having secured $100 million in Series D Financing, and her 20 percent stake makes Jessica a lot richer than Queen Bey. Inquisitr reports that while Beyoncé’s net worth is around $250 million, Alba’s worth is closer to $360 million.
Being a parent was the ‘Fantastic Four’ star’s biggest motivation in starting the Honest Company to help alienate parental concerns about whether their household products were safe enough for their children. Alba herself is a mother to two daughters, Honor, 7, and Haven, 4, with husband Cash Warren.
Jessica told reporters that being a mother is “the most profound experience I have ever had. All of my priorities in life have completely shifted to my children.”
She reportedly told the International Business Times, that she feels “this intense responsibility to create the safest, loving and healthiest environment for my family,” and that feeling contributed to the birth of the Honest Company.
Despite the continued success of the Honest Company, Jessica Alba plans to continue acting, and the International Business Times claims Alba is working on several projects, including The Wright Girls, The Veil, and Dear Eleanor.
