Buhari Holds Talks With National Peace Committee


President Buhari has held a meeting with members of the National Peace Committee at the Aso villa. The group which was headed by former military President, Abdusalam Abubakar paid this visit to the President 5days after Buhari held talks with Goodluck Jonathan behind closed doors.

In the meeting, the President stated that his government is very close to bringing public fund embezzlers to justice.

“Those who have stolen the national wealth will be in court in a matter of weeks and Nigerians will know those who have short-changed them,” Buhari stated.

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’Ad Abubakar III; the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh; Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan; a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mrs. Priscilla Kuye; and Senator Ben Obi were also among the National Peace Committee members that were present in the meeting.
