Kenya’s Westgate Mall Reopens

unnamed (89)

To many, the Westgate Mall Wil always a sinister reminder of blood shed and the loss of loved ones. But the government of Nairobi has taken giant strides in breathing fresh life into the mall.

It will be recalled that two years ago, the mall was under siege by the militant group, AL-shabaab in which 67 people lost their lives.

“Exactly 22 months ago we had one of the saddest days in Kenyan history,”the governor of Nairobi, Evans Kidero has said.

This might also be another way to send a message across to President Obama, who visits in two weeks, that Kenya is safe to host him.
