Bundesliga champion Bayern München are in the market searching for a perfect replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger who was sold to Manchester United on Monday.
According to Guardiola it is pertinent to fill the void which the German midfielder left and it is likely that Chilean box to box midfielder Arturo Vidal is the perfect piece of the puzzle.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca DiMarzio, Vidal is the No.1 choice for the vacant role in midfield.
He claims Bayern have bid £28m for the player, with Juventus holding out for £31.5m.
Meanwhile Premier league sides Arsenal and Liverpool have both been working on plans to lure the Chile international to England this summer but with the way it seem to play out, they are both look set to miss out, with Bayern edging towards an agreement with the Serie A outfit.
Vidal played in Germany earlier in his career when Bayer Leverkusen brought him to Europe from South America in 2007.
Michael Reschke, who played a key role in signing Vidal during his time with Leverkusen, is now sporting director with German champions Bayern.
Time alone will clear our doubts which club Arturo will be wearing their jersey next season.
