President Obama finally helped us get the whole truth Game of Thrones director David Nutter.
David recently disclosed that he had to break the news to President Obama that Jon Snow had not, in anyway survived his multiple stab wounds. It refreshing to note that not even the leader of the free world was not very happy that the leader of the Night’s Watch was betrayed by his own men, even Ollie.
Nutter told EW at Comic-Con on Friday, that he hooked up with the President of the United States, three weeks ago and “He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, ‘You didn’t kill Jon Snow did you?’”
According to the Game of Thrones exec, he couldn’t exactly lie to the President of the United States, so he said, ”…Jon Snow is deader than dead,” the director recalled fearing for his life, “I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here — but he’s dead.”
It appears that President Obama has the same grievance as the rest of us about the series. The fact that the latest season of Game of Thrones left a number of characters’ fates up in the air was likely done on purpose to build suspense and anticipation for the next season. Not knowing exactly what happened to people like Sansa, and even the apparent death of Snow still makes room to discuss more until the next season is out.
Nutter also confirmed Stannis Baratheon’s death as well, claiming that he didn’t intend for the death scene to be one that would keep people wondering if it really happened.
