Surprise! Lil Wayne Drops New Free Album On Jay Z’s Tidal


YMCMB‎ star, ‎Lil Wayne who is still on shaky grounds with his father and label manager, Birdman ‎has released his album, ‘Free Weezy Album’‎ on Jay’s streaming service,Tidal.‎

The rapper released the project on Saturday, July 4, 2015 amid a heated dispute with his label over release of what he termed his career-defining work.‎

The 32-year-old rapper timed the release for the US Independence Day holiday, the album features Lil Wayne in collaborations with artists including fellow hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa, Junior Reid of Jamaican reggae greats Black Uhuru, and Jeezy, a rapper associated with the Southern US school.‎

The tattoo covered rapper is yet to release the constantly delayed “Tha Carter V,”  which is the base of his problems with Birdman. Wayne has accused his former mentor Bryan “Birdman” Williams, of withholding the album and financial payments from the rapper.

Tidal is co-owned by stars such as Wayne himself, Kanye, J. Cole but under the supervision of rap mogul Jay-Z.
