Rising act, Byno, took to instagram yesterday to rant and call on the judgement of fans to judge a case where he alleged that ‘Woju‘ crooner, Kiss Daniel and his record label refused to pay him the cash prize of $3k he won at the end of the #WojuContest in February 2015.
According to Byno, several efforts were made to reach Kiss Daniel and his team to claim the prize, all to no avail. Byno’s manager dished to NET that Kiss Daniel had gone to delete the post that pronounced Byno the winner of the competition.
When contacted, Kiss Daniel’s camp and his manager, Louisa Williams said: ‘As regards the Woju Competition, when Byno was announced the winner, he came to us begging that he doesn’t want the money, rather he wants us to sign him because he doesn’t have a record label. At that time we explained to him that we aren’t signing new acts because we had just signed a new act ‘Sugarboy’ that we are planning to launch and he was fine with it. So we are really surprised at his rants.’
