Reports claim that Hollywood actor,George Clooney might sell his Lake Como estate in Italy due to constant paparazzi invasion.
According to Page Six, Clooney is considering giving up the mansion for a staggering $100 million at the end of the summer. He acquired the 18th century Villa Oleandra from the Heinz family back in 2002 for only $10 million.
The subject of selling the property came up after private photos of him and his wife,Amal kept turning up. The recent ones caught George and Amal saying farewell to Robert De Niro after he and wife, Grace Hightower came over for dinner.
Some time in April, Laglio’s Mayor, Roberto Pozzi put a fine of $550 on anyone caught snooping within 300 feet of the property of the Oscar winner’s villa and Villa Margherita next door, which also belongs to Clooney.
“George loves the area and the people who live there, but is conscious of the attention he gets when he is in town. He has received a huge offer for the villa, which he is considering, and he would buy another, less accessible property in another area of Italy,” a source confided to Page Six.
