Enyimba football club have succeeded in luring one of the most prolific striker to Aba.
The highly-rated striker has been the subject of controversy this season, but the Aba giants have won the race for his signature
Two-time African champions Enyimba FC have announced the signing of striker Christian Obiozor on a season-long loan deal.
The former Rangers man has been the subject of controversy following a breakdown in an agreed move to league champions Kano Pillars earlier in the season. The Peoples’ Elephant have reacted quickest, snapping up the 20-year-old to bolster a frontline already comprising record league goalscorer Mfon Udoh.
The player’s rights however continue to be held by Fame Academy, according to Goal sources, and he is expected to secure a move abroad at the end of the 2015 season.
The club’s official handle tweeted: “We have successfully acquired striker Christian Obiozor on a season long loan & he will feature for us in the #GloPL & #FedCup this season.”
Goal can exclusively reveal the striker will wear the no. 12 jersey, and is set to make his debut for the club on Sunday, May 3 when Enyimba travel to play Gabros FC in week seven fixtures of the Nigerian Premier League.
