“We have worked hard to reach this point,… If a
vaccine is found effective, it will be the first preventive
tool against Ebola in history.”

These were the words of WHO
Director-General, Dr. Margaret Chan. As the campaign for the Ebola vaccine kicks off on Saturday.

Health workers will be using vaccines developed by the Public Health
Agency of Canada and the vaccination is said to begin in Basse Guinea,a highly affected zone.

This event will be historic as it may become known in history -if it is absolutely successful- as the beginning of the end in the fight against the deadly virus.
